August Colour of the Month – Wood Star
We wanted to pay homage to hummingbirds. Our local hummingbirds (Ruby Throated Hummingbirds) will start their migration to South America in the coming weeks.
We chose the Chilean Hummingbird for the colour inspiration because we wanted to use Magenta – just because it makes us happy!
Our SELKIRK worsted is a 2 ply yarn made with 100% Canadian wool and dyed in the skein using Greener Shades organic acid dye, which is a GOTS certified acid dye.
Lord Selkirk came over from Scotland with the original settlers of Prince Edward Island, including our great-great-great-great grandfather Angus Docherty.
